9th International Conference – Spring 2021

Advanced Infectious Disease Management

This conference focused on the clinical management of people suffering from chronic infectious diseases. AAMP will look at this often-perplexing clinical area from the point of view of “stepping above” the labels (“Lyme”, “EBV”, “Candida” etc.) and delve into the reasons these patients often do not improve. Areas such as immune disrupters, comorbidities, enhanced assessment strategies and integrative therapies will be covered.

AAMP Spring Conference 2021 is designed to bring expert speakers who deal with these diagnoses and can demystify and clarify assessment, therapy, and troubleshooting.

In addition to three decades clinical experience, he also was head of the interventional arm of a US-NIH funded human research trial using IV and integrative therapies in cancer patients. He founded Advanced Medical Therapies in Seattle, Washington, a clinic focusing on cancer and chronic diseases and now focuses his time in collaboration with clinics and hospitals in the US and other countries.

He is a frequent CME speaker and writer and has extended his educational outreach creating an online CE website “ConsultDrA.com” and Advanced Applications in Medical Practice (AAMP) conferences. AAMP is dedicated to bringing next level learning to healthcare professionals to enhance their knowledge and clinical skills in a CME approved format.

Darin Ingels, N.D., FAAEM

Dr. Ingels is a respected leader in natural medicine with numerous publications, international lectures and 30 years’ experience in the healthcare field. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology from Purdue University and his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. He completed his residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health. A licensed naturopathic physician in the State of Connecticut and a licensed Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in the State of California, where he maintains practices in both states. He is also Board Certified in Integrated Pediatrics through the American Association of Integrative Medicine and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Environmental Medicine.

Dr. Ingels has been published extensively and is the author of two books, The Natural Pharmacist: Lowering Cholesterol and Natural Treatments for High Cholesterol. He has also written a chapter on allergy desensitization for autistic children in “Cutting Edge Therapies for Autism” and is the author of the book, The Lyme Solution: A 5-Part Plan To Fight The Inflammatory Autoimmune Response And Beat Lyme Disease (Avery, 2018).

His practice focuses on environmental medicine with special emphasis on Lyme disease, autism, Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS and PANDAS) and chronic immune dysfunction, including allergies, asthma, recurrent or persistent infections and other genetic or acquired immune problems. His practice is comprised of both children and adults. He uses diet, nutrients, herbs, homeopathy, and immunotherapy along with conventional medical therapies to help his patients achieve better health.

Tom Moorcroft, D.O.

Dr. Moorcroft is a global leader in solving complex medical mysteries, what he calls “a medical detective”. His goal is to find out what’s really keeping someone sick and help them get better. This involves combining the very best medical science available with his extensive experience in both the field, in the hospital, and in his office as well as a passion for supporting health and healing with simple, everyday (and often natural) approaches so you are as resilient and healthy as possible.

He has been treating patients with chronic bacterial and viral infections as well as mycotoxin illness for over a decade. Many of his patients are children with infection-induced autoimmune encephalitis. He is a member of the ILADS Evidence-based Lyme and Co-Infections Fundamentals program working group and they review the evidence and update this program annually. He also trains other healthcare providers; Dr Moorcroft says “teaching is an amazing way to make sure you really have a grasp on the medical literature because if you don’t, your students will call you on it.”

Kristine Gedroic, M.D.

Dr. Gedroic has spent over a decade recovering thousands of patients with chronic illness, including all types of autoimmune disease, neurological conditions, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, attention deficit disorder (ADHD), behavioral disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, irritable bowel syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and more. While most medical doctors will prescribe a medication in response to symptoms or a diagnosis, Dr. Gedroic and her team strive to understand the root cause of an illness and create a customized treatment plan to return patients to wellness. Dr. Gedroic believes that almost all illnesses can be reversed with patients returning to a lifetime of wellness.

Dr. Gedroic analyzes each patient’s symptoms and bloodwork, determining the personalized treatment protocols for patients and ensuring that the team of experts at the Gedroic Medical Institute works with patients to implement them. Dr. Gedroic graduated from Harvard University with a degree in biochemical sciences and attended medical school at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She completed her internship at Cornell University in New York, followed by a residency in Family Practice at Overlook Hospital in Summit. She later completed a fellowship at the University of Arizona in Integrative Medicine.

Nafysa Parpia, N.D.

Dr. Parpia has spent the last decade treating patients with complex chronic illness from all over the US and the world. Her specialization is patients with tick-borne illness, environmentally acquired illness, mold/mycotoxin illness, autoimmunity, fibromyalgia and ME/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). External factors to the body, such as environmental toxic burden, pathogens, diet, and lifestyle affect the balance of internal factors – over or under expression of immunity, infection susceptibility, epigenetic expression, cellular biochemical function, mood and the microbiome. Each of these aspects is different for each patient. Investigating to discover and remove the underlying cause(s) while providing symptom relief, she uses cutting-edge laboratory tests, and deep intuition applied to the full range of scientific data to unravel the mystery of each patient’s illness. Dr. Parpia then creates treatment plans that are highly personalized and healing. Modalities she uses include a synergistic blend of regenerative medicine, oral and intravenous micronutrient therapies, peptide therapies, botanical medicine, pharmaceuticals, injection therapies, functional nutrition, and lifestyle counseling.

Dr. Parpia sees patients at Gordon Medical in the San Francisco Bay Area. She previously worked in the clinics of Dr. Isaac Eliaz and Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt. She is on ISEAI’s Board (International Society for Environmentally Acquired Illness) and is a Scientific and Medical Advisor for Neurohacker Collective. She received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University and her Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia.
